Creating memorable Interior Designs

One of the key elements is a memorable name for your vacation home and memorable décor.  If your home is memorable a guest is going to share te experience with family and friends.  The very best form of advertising is word-of-mouth, it is also the fastest and least expensive way to advertise.  If your vacation home or condo is near the beach, a vacationer is going to want to stay in a home that has a comfortable and colorful interior. For example if you want to create a memorable look then it is important to say away from using just white or neutral tones.  Inter-change whites with primary colors to give the home a more interesting look.  If you have a beach house or cottage create a simple yet cheerful colorful palette of royal blue with crisp white with yellow accents.  If you have a rustic cabin warm comfortable colors such as different shades of warm rich browns.  Below is an example of a rustic decor where we have used rich browns and black with a touch of red brick accents to create a luxurious yet simple and comfortable look.

Window Treatments

When you add just the right windows treatments to a design the entire look can come together as shown in the before and after photos below.  This rustic interior design is a cabin  loft where we coordinated the sofa with rocking chairs and added just the right touch roman fabric shades in the same fabric.

Bedding Ensemble

Having nice Bedding ensembles in your vacation home is one of the most important elements as bedding photographs easily and will help set the stage for the quality of vacation home you are offering to a vacationer. Use of inexpensive department store bedding sold in packages is not going to downgrade the look of your vacation home. You will want to avoid solid color comforters or bedspreads that are just pulled up over the pillows. We suggest using prints and patterns that will coordinate and that will balance with the style of the rest of the home. Just a touch of wall covering with coordinating fabrics can add just the right look and feel to that theme or style you are after. We have our own workroom so we can create a custom look to any room with coordinating window treatments, bedding and upholstered pieces.

The loft above also serves as a retreat to the Master Bedroom so we choose to coordinate the bedding and use the same fabric elements and design for this Master Bedroom suite.  In the Master Bath room we used the same roman fabric shades with leaves to complete the look.

Furniture

We choose the Timber Heirlooms collection because of the mixture of wood tones and this collection had just the right brick red leather used to help set the right tone for the look to the Master Bedroom rustic decor.

Design Accents

Accent pieces help solidify the look, in this case we used the checkerboard fabric with all the tones of the room and coordinated elements and fabrics from the Master Bedroom Suite and carried them into the loft so both rooms flowed together.
